Kart Sport Club round 2 race day, held on the 6th of April, started off with some new faces and
karts on the grid. The club had 3 new entries on the day, 2 new drivers in Mini Rok, and 1 new
driver in the Kid Mini class.
Straight from the start, Shaenesu Shambare showed his skills and won in the Kid Mini class for
the day. Closely contested was the determined Jake Edward’s trying all he could to take the top
spot, finishing in 2nd place for the day. New Kid Rok driver Ragnar Mudzimu showed good
determination, completing all 4 races on the day and ending 3rd in his class.
Mini Rok class saw some good driving from all drivers. Mechanical difficulties affected Rayaan
Savania who only managed to complete 2 out of the 4 races for the day.
New comers Wade Gleig and Engelbert Mudzimu showed good improvements throughout the day
during their first time competing against the rest of the pack.
Devin Van de Linde led the class throughout the day and finished in 1st place. Behind him with a
good day all round was Jayden Kerwin in 2nd place for the day.
The crowd pleaser class 125 Rotax saw great action from all drivers throughout the day with first
place position changing hands 6-7 times during the day between Zaydaan Savania and Seth
Rukato. Younger brother Yaseen Savania was hot on the 2 front runners’ heels throughout the day.
Seth Rukato took 1st place in 125 Rotax class with Zaydaan finishing in 2nd place.
The Pro Karts series saw some good driving throughout the day, and all eyes were on the top spot
with seconds apart from each other.
